Booth, van, container or crew?

“Mobile podcast studio” means four different things. If you do not separate them, you compare offers that do not belong together.

A mobile podcast studio comes to the venue instead of the other way around. Four forms sit behind the phrase: the closed booth on your exhibition stand, the van at the door, the container as exhibition build, and the crew that puts microphones in a room. CastCube is the booth: an acoustic room with glass, full service, based in Eltville. For exhibitors the usual comparison is podcast booth vs van, not a studio in town.

Fixed prices for events across Germany. Events outside Germany on request, with an individual quote for transport and setup. Based in Eltville am Rhein.

The decision in one table

Format Stands where Take it when Drops out when
Booth On your stand floor The studio should be a visible part of the appearance You will not give up 3 m²
Van Car park, access road, street The guest does not come to the exhibition stand The studio should stand on the exhibition stand
Container Outdoor site or XXL floor space The appearance itself is the project, stand-build budget You have a normal exhibition stand
Crew without a room Your meeting room, hotel, office The place is already quiet and the door closes A trade-show hall is running all around

When the booth fits

When the studio should be part of the appearance. Glass, ON AIR, CI wrap: visitors understand in two seconds that recording is happening here. You give up floor space on the exhibition stand for that, not in the car park. That is the trade show podcast studio that sits in the aisle, not a van outside.

  • 2×1: ≈ 2.2 m² footprint, about 3 m² with the door swing
  • 2×2: ≈ 4.3 m², 5 to 6 m² with the door swing
  • 3×2: ≈ 6.4 m², 7 to 8 m² with the door swing
  • Clear door opening 715 mm, height 2.25 m, all three layouts at the same hire rate

Dimensions and floor plans are under Models, the full process on the exhibition stand is in the exhibitor guide.

What the booth costs

Day 1 in the calculator is €1,250, and the day rate falls with duration down to an avg. from €950/day. Delivery and setup by our crew start at €2,300 by zone from Eltville: €2,300 up to 150 km, €2,550 up to 400 km, €2,800 beyond. Two show days in Düsseldorf with no extras come to €5,050. All prices excl. VAT.

The day rate covers the booth, assembly and a ready-to-record setup. Audio, video, an on-site technician and a host come as add-ons. Use-case pages: Trade shows and Events.

When a van, a container or a crew is the better fit

Van: when the guest does not come to the exhibition stand. Journalists, roadshows, interviews in a backyard. It needs access, height and often a hall or outdoor clearance, rarely fits a 20 m² exhibition stand and is not a CI object on your floor.

Container: when the stage itself is the project. Shipping container, LED, audience in front, budget closer to stand build than a day hire. For a normal exhibition stand that is too large.

Crew without a booth: when the room is already quiet. Conference room, door closed, microphones and cameras up in an hour. In a full trade-show hall this variant loses, because voice and picture sound and look like the hall.

Podcast booth, mobile recording studio, video podcast studio

Search terms for one object: mobile podcast studio, podcast booth, trade show podcast studio. The booth is the room. A mobile recording studio stresses the acoustics, at CastCube through walls, door seal, ceiling plus supply and extract air. A video podcast studio is the same plus cameras: in the calculator as Video Standard or 4K, not as a second product. Podcast booth vs van is the decision most exhibitors actually need.

What CastCube is not

  • Not a fixed studio in Wiesbaden or Eltville. That stays with Watch Your Head.
  • Not a van and not a container.
  • Not kit hire without a room. If you only need microphones, this is the wrong place.
  • Not a stand builder. Walls, carpet and counter stay with your exhibition builder.

If the booth fits, continue with floor space, slot and the invoice in the exhibitor guide or straight in the calculator. Edit and show notes then run through AudioLink.

Short notes on the format.

On the exhibition stand it is usually the podcast booth: it sits on your booked floor and works from ≈ 2.2 m². A van needs access, height and often a special permit, and stays outside. A crew without a room only works where it is already quiet; on the hall floor the recording sounds like the hall.

Often the same object: a transportable acoustic booth you record in. “Mobile podcast studio” also means the service around it: delivery, setup and kit. A van or a crew without a booth is a different format, even if both are called mobile.

Day 1 in the calculator is €1,250; with duration the daily avg. drops from €950/day. Delivery and setup by our crew: €2,300 within 150 km of Eltville, €2,550 up to 400 km, €2,800 beyond. Two show days in Düsseldorf with no extras: €5,050. All prices excl. VAT.

Both: an isolated room plus kit already set up. Without on-site support it is an empty booth. That is why we deliver, assemble and look after you, optionally with video and AudioLink.

Yes. Add Video Standard or 4K in the calculator, same for the audio kit. Cameras by model: two on 2×1, up to three on 2×2 and up to four in the Flagship 3×2 setup.
